How to Open MS office 2007 Files in MS office 97, xp, 2003

Microsoft introduced the DOCX file format with Microsoft Word 2007. Similar to a traditional DOC file, this new format contains additional formatting information and offers a compressed, smaller file size. Unfortunately, earlier versions of Microsoft Word cannot natively open DOCX files. Although Microsoft offers a converter for Word 2000, 2002 and 2003, no converter exists for Word 97. However, you can use a free conversion tool to change a DOCX into a DOC file that will open in Word 97.
